Jurgen Pouls is one of the most successful Dutch reining riders with almost $100,000 Lifetime Earnings. After riding dressage for more than 15 years, Jurgen came into contact with the sport of Reining. Together with his girlfriend Wendy and daughters Jailey and Jessey, he runs his training stable, Pouls Reining Horses that is located in Reining Center Meertenhof.
Jurgen is very successful in the international reining competitions and today he is also the KNHS youth coach. In 2006, Jurgen showed his horse, Tabasco Tari, at the FEI World Championships in Aachen and placed 24th place, being the best placed Dutch rider. Jurgen also showed at the FEI World Masters Finals in Denver and in 2009, he won the individual bronze medal at the FEI European Championships.
In 2014, Jurgen became the Dutch Champion with Hollywood Gunman and was a teammember at the FEI World Equestrian Games in Caen. He also was chosen to represent the Netherlands in Aachen at the European Championships 2015. The team won the bronze medal and individually, Jurgen and Hollywood Gunman placed ninth.
Tabasco Tari & Jurgen have had many successful years. They are a multiple Lawson Champion team, Multiple NRHA European Champion team and they finished 4th in the NRHA World Ranking in 2009!
But not only with this horse he was very successful. Jurgen is a multiple Lawson & Morrison Champion with for example Royal Jac, Hollywood Gunman, Paula First Gun, Taris Joe and Dust N Tari.
